Navigation Help
Once logged in to app.examcatalyst.ai, everything lives behind the sidebar on the left.
The sidebar
- Home — takes you back to this site (examcatalyst.ai) — course info, pricing, and help.
- Study Library — opens the subject/topic/lesson picker. This is where you generate notes and MCQs.
- New Chat — starts a blank conversation, if you'd rather ask a free-form question instead of using a Study Library card.
- History — every note/MCQ set you've generated, grouped by subject and topic, so you can find something you made earlier without regenerating it.
- Chemistry Tools (Chemical Sciences students) — opens the retrosynthesis/ forward-synthesis tools in a new tab. See the Chemistry Tools help page.
- Math Tool (subjects with Math Tools enabled, currently Physical Sciences) — opens a computation notebook right in the app. A lesson card's own Math Tool button opens a notebook tied to that lesson instead of a blank one. See the Math Tools help page.
- Test Series — opens the timed mock-exam picker for your subject: unit tests, topic papers, and Full Syllabus attempts. Separate from your Study Notes/MCQ Practice subscription — see the Test Series help page for the full walkthrough, or the Test Series overview for pricing.
The Study Library flow
Study Library walks through five steps, each narrowing down to one specific piece of content:
Exam → Subject → Topic → Lesson → Level
"Level" is the study mode — Quick Concepts, Study Path, Glossary, Lesson, Chapter Topics, or Full Course, depending on what the subject offers. Once you've picked a Level, you'll see a grid of cards (concepts, sections, terms, etc. — the exact label depends on the Level). Click a card to generate that piece of content as a chat response.
Closing and reopening Study Library remembers where you left off, so you don't have to reselect Topic → Lesson → Level every time.
Completion tracking
Cards you've already generated show a small tick mark, so you can see at a glance what you've covered in a lesson and what's left.
Unlocking a subject
The Study Library panel header shows 🔒 Subscribe → or ↻ Renew → when a subject isn't (fully) unlocked yet — see Enrollment & Renewal Help for the full walkthrough, including how payment works and how renewing a lapsed plan differs from enrolling for the first time.
On mobile
The sidebar is closed by default on small screens. Tap the menu icon (or the small floating Study Library button near the top-right of the chat) to open it.
